Much better than Sims 3. I just don't have a lot of a lot of cc. I have a ‘17 macbook and my game runs well, save for the occasional bugs that everyone experiences. Make sure you use the computer on an elevated space (desk, laptop stand, etc). Never use it on the bed! There are many other suitable options for a Sims 4 laptop out there, like the newer MacBook Pros (2014 onwards) and the MacBook Air (2015 onwards), which can run the game with pretty much all the expansions at low to medium graphics settings.

the hardware is old or under-powered unless you have a super expensive mac/macbook and even then it has a very limited selection of games.
the one you are wanting to get would struggle to play the game at min settings.
Keep in mind, minimum requirements will not run well…
